'Ding Dong Denny O'Reilly' is an alcoholic, extreme Irish Republican Ballad Singer. He started life as a character in a parody ballad group called 'The Hairy Bowsies' which was created by myself and comedian Joe Rooney.

In 1996 Ding Dong brought out an album called 'Publocked' which contained songs such as the famine lament 'The Potatoes Aren't Looking The Best', rebel classic 'The Craic We Had The Day We Died For Ireland' and 'Flow River Flow'.

Ding Dong has played in venues all over Ireland - headlining Vicar Street, Midnight At The Olympia and The Laughter Lounge. He has appeared on numerous radio and TV shows including 'The Late Late Show', 'The Gerry Ryan Show', 'Podge and Rodge' and in the Roddy Doyle film 'When Brendan Met Trudy'.

In 2005 RTE commissioned Grand Pictures to make an hour long Ding Dong Denny Christmas Special entitled 'Ding Dong Merrily On High'.

Ding Dong still performs from time to time - playing comedy festivals such as 'The Kilkenny Cat Laughs', 'Forbidden Fruit' and 'The Vodafone Comedy Festival'.
